DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
This film is about exploring the suicide of a loved one from different perspectives.
I once had a very low time in my life. People tried to understand and help me, but were limited by their own experience, and I came to realise how difficult it is to step entirely into someone else’s shoes.
At the age of 28, it’s inevitable that I have experienced the loss of loved ones. But every time it happens, the pain does not get any less. This has helped me realise that suicide must always bring heartbreaking consequences for the loved ones left behind.
I believe my characters Connell and Rachel may never fully understand Christopher’s pain. But I also believe that one day, they will make peace with his decision.
